I knit, therefore I must be nuts. Friday, March 23, 2007. Positive Thinking didn't do squat. No matter how much I tried to tell myself to just think positive, there was no saving this project. I think there is equal blame to go around between my knitting skills (or lack thereof) and the um. Very nice person I'm sure. Who devised this diabolical Entrelac Tote pattern from Knit Picks. That was the best part of this whole thing. Approximately 30' of yarn per strand and this is what I got:. How bad can it be?

I knit, therefore I must be nuts. Monday, November 06, 2006. Crap I hate it when I start thinking. I received this loverly Colinette Zanziba yarn in Cinnamon. In a swap. there are 4 balls, approx 392 yards total. So I decided to make a scarf. Just for ME. I wanted a wide scarf that draped nicely and that I could drape over my head to cover my ears if it were a little windy. I was spurred on to begin the thing this weekend, when I spent HOURS outside in a chilly wind at a craft fair. Links to this post.

I knit, therefore I must be nuts. Wednesday, May 24, 2006. No bowling for you! Sadly, time out did not help the bowling bag purse. DH put it best when he said, while I was cursing the project yet again, "Honey, I thought you took up knitting because it was relaxing.". That and I left it up to the yarn doGs to determine the fate of the bag: I managed to miss the part of the pattern. At the very beginning. So I booga'd a bag. Yay me. I knit, therefore I must be nuts. Monday, October 30, 2006. Paying attention is a good thing. Especially when you are felting a Sophie bag. Which isn't all that big to start with. If you are so stupid as to put your bag in the washing machine, then go get your child out of the bath, you are quite likely to be distracted with giggly fun - and then you have it morphing from this nice bag. Into this teeeeeeny tiny thing that's maybe 6" tall. WTF? So, my friend and knitting mentor and she of Purple Duckie.
