Updates from the field: coral reefs in the PBPA, Jamaica. Are development decisions within a marine protected area being made with heads entirely above water? Since my last post we have managed to get out to survey the coral reefs in the Portland Bight Protected Area. During what has been a very windy August. I am currently analysing all the data collected so far and look forward to sharing our findings on the PBPA coral reefs with the public and scientific community. Have been carrying out ReefCheck.

On Wednesday, August 31, 2016, the CEI Shark Research and Conservation Team caught and sampled a huge 258 cm male lemon shark ( Negaprion brevirostris.
