http://verntc.blogspot.com/2009_04_01_archive.html
This is my life as a.grad student. Monday, April 6, 2009. Sage's mom just re-did her cabin on the lake so we decided to escape the city and head up there. It was so super nice with a fantastic view of the lake from her deck. His mom, sister and cousin joined us on Saturday. It was Bill's first mountain trip too and we had plans to do some hiking along Deep Creek. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Morales Family In Maine. Jeremy's blog about sandwiches. this is my life as a...grad student: Battle Scars
http://verntc.blogspot.com/2009/02/battle-scars.html
This is my life as a.grad student. Monday, February 16, 2009. Was wiggling and crazed and continued to cry hysterically for at least a minute. When we finally calmed him down we found a cut on his lower eyelid and the top of his head. The lab had chomped him and he was lucky he did not lose an eye! I woke up this morning confident that we would have no accidents and i would actually be able to get some writing done at home while he peacefully slept in the kennel. While I was preparing his breakfast, ...

Misadventures in Russia: Post номер один: My Summer Summary
http://brittbound.blogspot.com/2008/08/post-my-summer-summary.html
Brittany's semester abroad in Saint-Petersburg. Thursday, August 21, 2008. Post номер один: My Summer Summary. Blogs are very convenient. I don't have to constantly send you emails, and you don't have to feel guilty about letting them sit there in your mailbox only to be apathetically read at some way later date or deleted altogether. Don't be coy, I know that's what you all do. Mea culpa, I do it too. Below is a short summary of my summer. I'm still getting the feel of blogger (horrible, horrible me...

Misadventures in Russia: Routine, Reflections, and Augustine
http://brittbound.blogspot.com/2008/09/routine-reflections-and-augustine.html
Brittany's semester abroad in Saint-Petersburg. Wednesday, September 24, 2008. Routine, Reflections, and Augustine. It's been about two weeks since I've updated, and I can safely say that I've become more acclimated to my life in Russia. Oh, the marshrutka. One of my favorite parts of the day. In my opinion, it's the most aggressive form of transport in the city. It requires you to be aggressive, interact with people, and speak in Russian- all fun things! While that sounds harsh, it was said in the sweet...

Bharat: March 2009
http://arielwelling.blogspot.com/2009_03_01_archive.html
Friday, March 20, 2009. A Journey in the World of the Indian Postal Service. The main post office is near my host dad's sari shop, so he checked for me the next week when he went to work. They said they couldn't help, and they also didn't know the Delhi Customs phone number. I was beginning to think they were just avoiding my complaints. How could it be possible that the Varanasi post office didn't have contact with the Delhi post offices? It couldn't. It is impossible. That was over a month ago. Not...

Misadventures in Russia: New: Picture Link
http://brittbound.blogspot.com/2008/09/new-picture-link.html
Brittany's semester abroad in Saint-Petersburg. Sunday, September 28, 2008. So I've been getting the complaint of "You don't post any pictures! Too frequently lately, so I set up my Picasa account. It's unorganized (right now) and has pretty much every picture I've taken so far in Russia (save for the incriminating ones) this past month. Wow, it's been a month already. Sheesh. Pretty much never. Four months is just not enough. So, check out my pictures! Con: Fewer beef stroganoff jokes. Get it? Adam's Re...

this is my life as a...grad student: March 2009
http://verntc.blogspot.com/2009_03_01_archive.html
This is my life as a.grad student. Tuesday, March 3, 2009. Last weekend we spent hours each day at Fiesta Island dog park with Bill. He loved running through the tall grass but was less sure about the water at the shoreline. He finally gave up trying to get in the water (or get us out) and just sat forlornly. Still, each day he was tired out enough to be cooperative about wearing his car harness. It has become an essential tool for keeping me on the road! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).
