http://georgemetzler.blogspot.com/2007_06_03_archive.html
George's Cross Country Bike Ride. Saturday, June 9, 2007. Arrival in San Diego. I arrived on time in San Diego with my luggage and bicycle intact. So far I'm 3 for 3. I put my bike together as soon as I arrived this morning and I rode to the beach with another PAC Tour rider Harold Trease. Harold has spent the last 7 summers at this time of year officiating the Race Across America. I expect this will be a real change for him. Sunday, June 3, 2007. Cross Country schedule and links. Crosseyed and Painless: Nutrition And The Ironman
http://runbiketraining.blogspot.com/2005/10/nutrition-and-ironman.html
Thoughts on training for running and bicycling. Tuesday, October 11, 2005. Nutrition And The Ironman. Central Maryland triathlon coach David Flynn ran an interesting experiment with some of the athletes he advises at the recent ChesapeakeMan iron-distance triathlon in Cambridge, MD. David doesn't put his content online, but sends it out via email, making it next to impossible to link to it, so I'm going to quote liberally and then send you over to David. Interestingly, Scott had the fastest time of this ...

http://runbiketraining.blogspot.com/2005/10/out-of-water.html
Thoughts on training for running and bicycling. Sunday, October 09, 2005. Out Of The Water . On shore, a top 40 bike clawed me up to the pointy end of the race, and a top 30 run landed me a 30th place finish (though well down in the age group). Text file is here. No photos yet, but that should be pretty hilarious). I'll link directly to some individual stats tomorrow. Right now I want to have a beer and relax. Posted by Smitty Werbenmanjensen at 9:27 PM. http://runbiketraining.blogspot.com/2005_11_01_archive.html
Thoughts on training for running and bicycling. Tuesday, November 08, 2005. Light Show, Part Two. In an earlier post. I expressed some excitement over my new Planet Bike Super Spot. Which uses the fairly new Luxeon Star LED technology. Tonight, I commuted with it, and it met my expectations. This is a fine bicycle light. For comparison purposes, I paired it up on the handlebar of my commuter bike with the Niterider NR-50. Posted by Smitty Werbenmanjensen at 8:18 PM. Sunday, November 06, 2005. Neither is ...

Crosseyed and Painless: Not Gathering Dust
http://runbiketraining.blogspot.com/2005/10/not-gathering-dust.html
Thoughts on training for running and bicycling. Friday, October 14, 2005. I've been doing some posting on a recent Inside Triathlon article on the decline and fall of duathlon in America. Since IT doesn't post their content online, I did a public service and posted it online for my readers (at least until the cease-and-desist letter comes). If the topic interests you, go have a look. Crosseyed and Painless: Wow! A Newspaper Covers A Triathlete!
http://runbiketraining.blogspot.com/2005/11/wow-newspaper-covers-triathlete.html
Thoughts on training for running and bicycling. Wednesday, November 02, 2005. A Newspaper Covers A Triathlete! Besides making a decimal point error, this Washington Post article. On junior world triathlon champion Stephen Duplinsky is pretty good. The decimal point error is that they said the tri swim is 7,500 meters. Wow, that would be a long way! Posted by Smitty Werbenmanjensen at 8:54 AM. How do you know he didn't swim that far? Like some sort of lunged freak. From Stone Age To Computer Age.
