Every year the average bin contains enough unrealised energy for 500 baths. 1 recycled glass bottle would save enough energy to power a computer for 25 minutes. 1 recycled tin can would save enough energy to power a tv for 3 hours. Nevertheless, in an exercise of hope over expectation, I shall be recycling my old telephone directory.

I find this had added an extra element to my journeys around the island.
