We work with local communities to reduce the number of unwanted kittens born every year. AHES works with individual caregivers by helping them implement a TNR (trap, neuter, return) program, finding foster homes, assist trapping, and helping with adoptions. The homes are usually on small to medium sized farms with designated shelter for the cats. Caretakers who adopt barn cats agree to feed the cats daily and provide veterinary care as needed.
