The Homeschool Scribe: December 2016
https://ahomescribe.blogspot.com/2016_12_01_archive.html
A Quiet, Lovely Spot to Visit. Thursday, December 22, 2016. Christmas is Just About Here! We have had lots of busyness and more is to come over then next day or so. Our oldest will work two separate shifts tomorrow and then much of the day on Saturday. I am proud of him. Someone took his shift so he could be at Church this week, and he wants to return the favor. This is such a blessing. We were able to get Dear Son 2's epi-pens today! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). We'd Love to See You! Homeschooling mom wh...
The Homeschool Scribe: January 2017
https://ahomescribe.blogspot.com/2017_01_01_archive.html
A Quiet, Lovely Spot to Visit. Saturday, January 28, 2017. Our daughter is taking classes at the University (it sounds odd to say that after so many years as a college), but she is also continuing in some homeschool courses. A lovely coincidence this year is that she is required to read In His Steps. If you haven't read this book, I hope you will take the time to do so. God bless you all this week. Thoughts from the Week. This week has been calmer than last, I am happy to say. It is still just as pretty.

A Quiet, Lovely Spot to Visit. Wednesday, July 27, 2016. John Boy has had a very heavy work schedule this week at the Chicken House, and I am glad. He needs those hours, and is feeling more confident in the work. The Lord is with him, and I am so very grateful. James Martin is feeling like a man with a purpose working in Bible school with his sister. I couldn't be more proud. Sunday, July 17, 2016. I think that is a fabulous combination. We have read In His Steps. Otherwise, we had such a great time....

A Quiet, Lovely Spot to Visit. Wednesday, November 30, 2016. I am old enough to remember when long-distance telephone calls were expensive and rare! Now, many carry around in their pockets an instant means of contacting anyone anywhere - -without waiting for the "rates to go down." But, there really is something different about taking the time to write a letter. And isn't it wonderful to receive them? And At the Altar. Saturday, November 5, 2016. Last night, we were scattered, more or less, with differen...

A Quiet, Lovely Spot to Visit. Monday, June 6, 2016. Back to School . . . . After a couple of weeks "off" from school, we are back today with online and my two "live" classes. I think this will be fun. My 8:00 is an LT 201- this is actually the third semester of the 4-semester series. I will have 4 or 5 students, and they are wonderful. I will report back soon, dear readers, with an update one everyone's reading and school work. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). We'd Love to See You! His Eye Is On the Sparrow.

Our Cross Stitching Home: May 2016
http://ourcrosstitchinghome.blogspot.com/2016_05_01_archive.html
Thursday, May 26, 2016. A Nice Thursday Cookout. Ok Better than Wednesday, but I wish he. We salvaged the day by loading up and going to the park with hotdogs, hamburgers, chips and cookies- happily all on sale at the IGA with the Memorial Day weekend upon us! On another happy note, my Latin III course was approved by the state for dual-enrollment classes. I am tickled pink about that. My friend Miss Janice will understand the picture posted below. Hope your week has gone well. Sunday, May 22, 2016.

Thursday, June 23, 2016. We are also going all out with Bible school this year, partnering with another Church that isn't having a Bible school. They are helping us so much, and I like to think we are blessing them as well. Everyone is having so much fun getting ready for it. I am continuing to work on a cross stitch project and a couple of crocheting projects. I hope you all are well and surviving this heat! Wednesday, June 1, 2016. What Time Is It? I am happy about all I hear about their values. January 1, 2017 at 4:58 PM. Yes, they have lived up to the press as employers, too. They really treat their employees well. Our Cross Stitching Home: March 2016
http://ourcrosstitchinghome.blogspot.com/2016_03_01_archive.html
Tuesday, March 29, 2016. I can't believe how much we were able to get done. This was truly the blessing of the Lord. He takes what pitiful amount we can do on our own and transforms it into real accomplshments. Tuesday, March 15, 2016. Looking Forward . . . . We have next week off from school, and it will be a time of catch up . . . rest, housework, schoolwork and most of all, PRAYER. I just want to sit and hold hubby's hand and have the kids all happily around . . . . Tuesday, March 8, 2016. 3 Caffeine:...

Sunday, October 30, 2016. My car, with 200,000 miles is still running. That in itself is a blessing. Other things within the life of our family are working out- again thanks to Divine intervention. So, the pantry, fridge, and freezer are almost as full as my heart. Off to Church here soon. Will be a little lonely with only three of us! Hope your day goes well. Tuesday, October 18, 2016. Yes, we're still here. Just too many things going on- life! Hope you're all having a good week. Lots to Do Today. One M...

Friday, December 30, 2016. An Assortment of Joyful Things. We are on our way to see Hubby's family for the annual Christmas get-together. For each of his sisters, I decorated a jarful of clothespins. This project was so much fun. I think they will love them. We were out and about doing some last minute shopping and ministerial visits the other day, and Hubby stopped at the store called "Ollie's." It was on the order of a Big Lots. Vanna also has a relationship with St. Jude's Hospital, and much of th...

Sunday, November 27, 2016. I am going to continue to use, to the best of my limited ability, the Great Books of the Western World. All of this to say- I am so happy to have a chance to teach this course and to have the freedom to "tinker with it" in a way that I think will add to the students' overall knowledge and understanding of our Western foundation. Tuesday, November 22, 2016. Neither of these productions are salacious; they seem to both try to tell the historical story with as much emphasis on the...

Thursday, December 15, 2016. Our Cross Stitching Home. Then, today was the 3rd Thursday food distribution at Church. We fixed them a wonderful hot meal of home made chilli, cheese toast and home made sugar cookies. We also had lots of hot coffee and cocoa. It was great. What made it the best thing in the world to me was that we were all 5 there together! That being said, I am happy to say that in just a few minutes, I will walk the dogs and then . . . . I think I am going to enjoy the rest of the evening.

Friday, September 30, 2016. The Best Way to Ease Anxiety. Please pray for two friends I cannot call by name- they are facing grave health concerns this week. One is in surgery as I write this. They both know and love the Lord Jesus. He is with them. I can't think of a better time in history to be a "Child of the King.". Thursday, September 29, 2016. Couldn't Resist this Pin. Sunday, September 25, 2016. None of us realized how much we. Baked and cooked using the oven until we were without it. We had a Bap...

Saturday, July 30, 2016. Hmmmmmm . . . . This is more familiar to me in the way of Bibles- Words of Christ in red, thumb-indexed, a satin-like marker. I think Dr. Frank Charles Thompson, the editor of my beloved Thompson Chain Reference Bible is looking like this because of the new trend of coloring in the Bibles. Below is an example. I think he is upset. What's Been Happening at the Ponderosa this Week. Today, there are so many things to do, I don't know where I will start! Tuesday, July 26, 2016. JES a...

A Homeschool Story
Growing together; a Franco-American family learning at home, abroad and everywhere else we go. Sunday, May 3, 2015. The Original Sweater for my Niece. I mentioned the sweater that I made which inspired the dog needing his own sweater. It's been at least a year, but here is the original (she was born with my hair, isn't it cute? It was very fun to make, as I ran out of yarn, I grabbed another skein of cotton and kept going, and the sheep are simple little fuzz balls. Thursday, April 30, 2015. I told her w...

A Quiet, Lovely Spot to Visit. Tuesday, January 3, 2017. Some Thoughts From the Desk- the Gift of Femininity. 1 The education system on every level, from K-12 and the colleges and universities extol the virtue and acceptability of alternative lifestyles, families with 2 moms or 2 dads. We have a grammar book used by most universities that use these scenarios for writing prompts! 2 Girls growing up seem to have 2 choices in clothing selections: sexually-provocative and mature feminine.
