MPC employs approximately 170 people during the processing season which typically commences late March and ends early November. The season may continue for longer depending on the size of the crop to be processed. In February each year MPC seeks applicants to fill the vacant Factory Worker positions that are needed for the processing season. Forklift Operators (if qualified). Morning - 6am to 2pm. This brings our final price for 2015 to $5.00/kg at 33% saleable kernel recovery. This is a record price and comes on the back of a good crop and good quality. This increase now makes it eight years in a row that MPC has increased the final price to growers and the eighth year in a row where we have paid the full notional price before Christmas.
