While I was at the race expo last weekend, I bought 3 pairs of Ironman gloves - they were $12.50 each - a great deal because gloves in the bike store are usually more than $30. I always seem to need more of them - when you ride a lot and have little time for laundry it helps to have more of everything and my other pairs have gotten old (and lost! So, Birgit helped me over a few months and I was able to improve my stroke in our final camera session so she let me go on my own with instructions to get a tune up every so often. Shortly thereafter, I begged Paulo to let me do the masters a few times per week. I wanted companionship and healthy competition for my swim workouts. The ankle is good - I tested it a bit last night while walking the dogs and was able to run - but didn't push it - just glad to run with no pain and the dogs thought we were trying to catch these ducks so they were happy! Monday, September 14. Family and work responsibilities have taken front and center at the moment. There is a sense of peace now that I am not tired and irritable from a huge training load or that something or someone is going to interrupt a workout. I love long rides on the weekend.
