Our week in Morocco was absolutely life-changing. The more I think about it, the more I realize how impossible it is to sum up in a few stories and pictures. Here are the lyrics to that song and a slideshow. We really did hang out with kids but they have asked us not to post pictures on the Internet due to security issues.

Wednesday, February 25, 2009. My sister surprised me with a ticket to Colorado for the weekend! It was my grandpa's 90th birthday and we had a party on Sunday. It was great surprising my family with a visit. The Top 10 Signs that I Was in Colorado:. 10 There were not 17 snowplows on the runway when I landed. 9 I was approached by a guy with a clipboard in the terminal. 7 Marci had the AC on when she picked me up and two hours later we had the heat on. 6 People were wearing shorts. I love how it captures what everyone was feeling those first few hours back in the States. A's heart is still in Morocco. G misses Moroccan food. D misses his kids. R "it's not what it used to be". J likes chocolate and hot showers but not more than Morocco. L felt the mountains tremble. B is not the same person he was last week. A is emotionally overwhelmed.

It was a lot of firsts for our family; my first time in a pop-up, the girls' first time camping, Sami's first time fishing and hiking all.the.way! It rained the entire first day we were there- so the girls enjoyed playing on all of the mattresses in the pop-up. Samantha was SO EXCITED to go fishing! Showing off her pole. They had a blast!
