Aiming for Iron: Long Ride Recon
http://aimingforiron.blogspot.com/2010/09/long-ride-recon.html
Adventures into the land of long course triathlon racing. Student and part time dreamer. View my complete profile. Monday 13 September 2010. Weekend turned into a long ride focus at the last moment. Did a recovery session on Friday to keep the legs fresh then just sat at home and ate and drank to fill up stores. Didn't get to bed as early as i'd have liked but such is life. Power sat at a nice 179W Avg (229W NP) but there was allot of free wheeling on the descents. Peak 5 seconds: 820W, peak 10mins 2...

Adventures into the land of long course triathlon racing. Student and part time dreamer. View my complete profile. Monday 20 September 2010. 80km easy- how low can my hr go? First off weight, Monday morning weigh in has me at 83kg. Looking trimmer, and the legs are getting a bit more defined, still to much on the waist. Training, racing, speculating. Wednesday, September 29. Every Tuesday during the cross season for the last 4 years a group of misfits has congregated in a field in Knocklyon. Riding in the dark beside a motorway under the residual light and flashing bike lights makes for interesting training. In the dark you learn to feel the bike better, learn when your tires are about to give way, and learn when you can and cannot go hard. Posted by Greg May. Tuesday, September 28. Posted by Greg May. Interesting week,...

Training, racing, speculating. Thursday, August 19. More science waffle: Blood Lactate. Posted by Greg May. Tuesday, August 17. I've decided to split my day to day ramblings from my training focused on IM Lanzarote. Normal stuff will stay here where you are. Other site will be more of a progress report and ripping apart my own power files and running stats. This will remain the stream of conciousness that it is. Posted by Greg May. Thursday, August 12. Eric's Second Paralympic Adventure: London 2012. Tuesday, September 4, 2012. This morning Eric and I took our time to get going. It was nice to relax and sleep in a bit. Around 11:00am we got on the tube and headed towards the Athlete Village. To be able to go into the Athlete Village, I have to get special clearance and Eric has to be with me the whole time. I was anxious to see where he had spent his time while here in London. Then Eric showed me his apartment and all the fun things in his building lik...

Faking it on facebook. Asymp; Leave a comment. Recently a friend on Facebook posted asking for advice dealing with her soon to be teenage sons. My public response was a quote. 8220;Adolescence is perhaps nature’s way of preparing parents to welcome the empty nest” Karen Savage and Patricia Adams. Then I sent a private message. Expressing that I know how hard it truly can be and that she isn’t alone. Share on Facebook (Opens in new window). Click to share on Twitter (Opens in new window). Zechariah 7:9-10...
