If you recall, this is the child who puts the “noise” in joyful noise. But she loves it, and because of that, will go after every singing part ever, but will probably (if she’s lucky) be relegated to the chorus. Which would make her happy too. Because she’s singing. I am worried for her. I am nervous for her. I have been praying for her.

And I'm all "oh my gosh, she did it herself, and even cleaned up afterward! But the salad part is good too. Girl loves her some veggies. So, yeah, they're becoming more independent and responsible and mature (kind of) and big. So big that sometimes you forget that they're really little. And sometimes, it's good to be reminded. I was reminded yesterday in church.

Last year, she gladly spent her birthday evening at her brothers’ swim meet. We told the boys they’d have to miss the meet so we could celebrate her birthday. She insisted we go to the meet.
