Back to Back Chicken Shack. Follow the adventures as we raise chickens for the first time. Saturday, December 22, 2012. A new improved Bunny! Remember Bunny our "rescued" chicken? All summer long she looked real beat up and ragged. She had a large gash on the back of her neck and was missing feathers on her back. A full molt has produced a transformation and she is such a beautiful chicken! December 23, 2012 at 5:18 AM. Your loving care has transformed her x. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Ain't nob...

Back to Back Chicken Shack: It's been a while...

Back to Back Chicken Shack. Follow the adventures as we raise chickens for the first time. Monday, August 27, 2012. It's been a while. There really has been nothing new to tell. Bunny is part of the family now although she still is not allowed up on the roost at night to sleep. Instead she makes herself comfy on top of the nesting boxes. No biggee, until winter sets in and she may need the communal heat. We'll see what happens. Sorry, I know it's gross but that's life. Now, what to do? Isnt it kind of fu...

Back to Back Chicken Shack. Follow the adventures as we raise chickens for the first time. Wednesday, October 26, 2011. I follow other blogs and the one that I enjoy the most is Tilly's Nest. She has been asking followers to link up with tours of our coop. What better way than with a video! I certainly can't take all the credit here. Scott built all of this with plans he drew up in his head. He's so talented. Thank you honey. Saturday, October 22, 2011. Saturday, October 15, 2011. Here is how it happens.

Back to Back Chicken Shack: Down to 9

Back to Back Chicken Shack. Follow the adventures as we raise chickens for the first time. Monday, June 6, 2011. The weather has been a bit of a roller coaster. Hot, chilly, hot chilly.but what are you going to do? They spend a majority of their day out in the run and when we open the pop door in the morning it's like recess has let out. They run out as fast as they can. I like to think they are happy chickens. Here is our flock. Cool water helps them stay cool on a hot day. June 7, 2011 at 8:29 AM.

Back to Back Chicken Shack: 3 Seasons in 2 weeks
http://delilahjones-chickens.blogspot.com/2012/03/3-seasons-in-2-weeks.html
Back to Back Chicken Shack. Follow the adventures as we raise chickens for the first time. Thursday, March 15, 2012. 3 Seasons in 2 weeks. It has been a weird mild winter here. 2 weeks ago we had only our second snowstorm of the season. (The last one was way back in the early part of December.) We had about 7 inches dumped on us. It stuck to EVERYTHING and I loved the magical winter wonderland. So did the kids. All this water was moving right into the run and making it very sloppy. We get some more cold ...

Back to Back Chicken Shack: February 2012
http://delilahjones-chickens.blogspot.com/2012_02_01_archive.html
Back to Back Chicken Shack. Follow the adventures as we raise chickens for the first time. Friday, February 10, 2012. But this past month we had to fork over the feed money. Even though we've had a mild winter I think that they've been using their energy to stay warm instead of making eggs. It's all good, they need to rest. Then this morning.I found Georgia in a nesting box and under her I found this beautiful green egg! This is why I took that walk. Red Velvet cake with cream cheese frosting! Our Tiny O...
