Sunday, February 15, 2015. Omar has the most earnest byes. Whenever we FaceTime with my mom or with Ikram, his favorite part is giving the screen a kiss, saying Bye! And hanging up the phone. Whenever he hears a tram pass in front of the house, he rushes to the balcony and calls out Bye! Whenever I let him watch Teletubbies or his ABC video, he never fails to say Bye! It's really the best thing ever- his earnestness. Anyway, it's late. To quote Omar, Baiiieeeee! Says, Only Kye. Stuff we wrote awhile back.

Tuesday, May 19, 2015. Death of an iphone. Sure enough he had somehow grabbed my phone from the table and threw into the toilet bowl. Luckily, I remembered to flush right after he did his business. Haha But he was lucky because he took the necessary steps to dry. I, in my callous haste, turned off the phone, wiped it with tissues then handed it over to people I thought knew better and said "Omar dropped my phone in the toilet bowl, can you dry it? Omar has a diaper rash now, the second time since he was born. First time was from antibiotics-induced diarrhea. But really it's my fault.
