To help with these questions I have put this handy little guide to help. Partly pilfered from Alex (aka Seamonster) Templetons post on the Lothians forum. I hope it helps. They crafted from heavy gauge tubing so that they can really take a beating from anything that might be trying to cause some damage to the sills of your van, whether that be some trees or rocks if you are out in the wilds in your Syncro or those pesky bollards or other peoples car doors in Petrol stations and Supermarket car parks. T25/T3 Gears and Stuff. Miles Per Gallon (MPG). I have owned a few Syncros. A 1.9 TDI powered 14" Panel van, a stock 2.1 petrol van and a 2.9 litre VR6 powered van. I only had the 2.1 petrol for a few weeks but over that time I averaged around 18 mpg. The van was pretty much stock.
