Adding A Deep Sump. To help minimize the possibility, I'm adding a 1.5 qt. deep sump to my new motor. I picked up this particular one at a VW swap meet for $10. They can be had new for around $40 and up. Now you need to install the pick-up tube extension. This is held in place with a hose clamp. It's kind of tight in there so you will need to use a wrench. 8 Doweling Your Crankshaft. Saving a damaged crankshaft or strengthening your good one. Here's a look at the end of the crank and all the damage to the dowel pin holes. Here's a photo of the 8 dowel jig set that I used to 8 dowel this crank. The holes in the jig are drilled so that there is one hole that is not perfectly centered like the others. This ensures that the crank/flywheel can ONLY go together one way every time once it's been drilled. I bought my jig from CB Performance. Revised: May 30, 2004 .

If you can arc the two poles on the starter motor and it turns, the motor itself is good, but your solenoid is shot. What causes this? Torsdag 25 november 2010. Exempel på bomberseats från streetroddersweb. Hmmm, stolarna jag köpte till bygget passade inte alls bra i speedstern! Ryggen var aldeles för bakåtlutad och tog i sidan på karossen, dessutom gav de ett lite klumpigt intryck. Här behövs en nätt liten stol, kanske en bucketseat från vintage eller möjligen en bomberseat (speedwaymotors) beroende på vilken stil man ska hålla. HotRod stilen kräver ju nästan ett par av de senare! Fredag 12 november 2010. Transport till nytt garage.

Fredag 7 oktober 2011. En riktig replika måste ju ha Porsche märken i front och bak. Finns ju att köpa färdiga såklart men är mycket roligare att göra själv! Här vattenskurna emblem i kopparämne, gjorda efter en cad-ritning tillverkad i Adobe Illustrator. Cad-ritningen gjordes efter en bild på ett orginalmärke som importerades i programmet och finsjusterades sedan. Här lödes mässingsskruvar fast på baksidan. Skruven ska sedan kapas till lagom längd. Onsdag 9 november 2011. Jag behövde nya lampglas till bakljusen, de jag köpt från Vintage var så kallad "Eurostyle" med ena delen av glaset i gult. Det är väl bra tänker gemene man, men icke! Tok Amerikanerna hade placerat lampan för blinkers i den röda delen på glaset och bakljus och bromsljus i den gula? Skulle man ändra på detta var man tvungen att ta isär hela lamphuset med pressningar och liknande! Då var det enklare med ett par nya helröda lampglas. Hittade även en backspegel som jag slog till på!
