One of thethings that I have learned in Mr. Fielder's class is that Rwanda was ruled by Belgium, and Belgium gave out name cards, which started a lot of the killing. Friday, April 30, 2010. Was a great experience because it taught me to speak better in front of people, and the setup made me feel like I was really in the UN. The only other UN debate I have ever done was in Mr. Fielders room, and I thought this one was a lot better because of the way we had to speak, and the chair and legal council worked very well together. Friday, February 12, 2010. Over the summer I went to visit my aunt and see her awesome house. I put on my gas mask and as I went past it my paddle got stuck on something, I looked down, but could not see anything, I started to panic and tried to pull my paddle from whatever would be trying to take it. Friday, November 20, 2009. The US. was blamed a lot because they never stepped in to stop this, when they could have done it quite easily. The Interahamawe were also commonly blamed because they were a group that killed many people, but their excuse was that they were brainwashed by Juvenal. The UN was blamed for the same reason the U.S. was. Last but not least was Belgium because they played a stereotypical role by favoring the Tutsis over the Hutus causing an even greater conflict between the two groups.
