The Adventures of Aitch. Here are a few videos (and pictures) from my trip to China . . . This one is of me and mom floating down the Yulong river in Yangshuo, China on a bamboo raft. They had stations set up in the middle of the river to take pictures of the tourists which they printed and laminated for you right there. I couldn't resist buying this one . . . Mom's expression is priceless! She insists she wasn't worried at all :o). Don't you feel bad for the poor guy who had to push us down the river?

The Adventures of Aitch. I went camping this weekend in beautiful Superior National Forest right outside of Boundary Waters. The sky was crystal clear for two of the three nights I was there and the stars were incredible. I broke out my camera, stayed up way too late, and practiced my night photography skills. The Adventures of Aitch. Since nothing very exciting has been happening in my life lately, I thought I would share a couple of my new favorite songs. What are some of the frequently played songs on your iPod right now? Adele- Rolling in the Deep. The video is a bit weird, but I am loving this song. Adele has an amazing voice and several other great songs. Avett Brothers- I and Love and You. Another great song from the Avett Brothers. February 23, 2011 at 6:31 AM. The Adventures of Aitch. La Isla del Encanto. Puerto Rico is truly the "Island of Enchantment." The scenery was beautiful, the people friendly, and, most importantly, the beaches were gorgeous! Nate and I stayed in Luquillo, about a half hour east of San Juan, in a wonderful beachfront condo. We were able to spend a lot of time on the beach relaxing, but we also enjoyed some more active pursuits, including hiking in the rain forest a night kayaking trip through a bioluminescent lagoon. I was bumbed that it has been the same theme for the 3rd year in a row. Daytons always changed it from year to year. We went to a Timberwolves vs Jazz game. Some of us were cheering for the wolves and some for the Jazz. Unfortunately the Jazz won after the wolves were leading for most of the game.

Dancing through the shadows. Working, knitting, cooking, living, sewing, DANCING! Asymp; 1 Comment. Next I made a large heart shape from some A3 sketching paper. Using a ruler, some inspiration from my quilt blocks book and some counting, I divided the heart into 30 pieces. Then picked out 5 pieces of paper and cut out 2 of each from my first fabric. I then repeated this for each fabric , making sure that no two adjacent pieces were the same. First post from my iPad rather than laptop! Asymp; 1 Comment.
