The Nielsons: 14,065 ft
http://blnielson.blogspot.com/2015/08/4065-ft.html
Wednesday, August 5, 2015. My friend, Elizabeth, made a "30 before 30" list. One of the items to check off was hiking a "14er." She was such a good friend and let me check this off with her-I loved every minute of it! Colorado has 50 mountains with summits over 14,000 ft. Hence the nickname, 14er. I hiked only one other 14er, Mt. Sneffles. I was excited to cross another one off. It was a great day that started at 4:00 AM! It was definitely "one for the books! Yep, it's early! The Nielsons: Meet Vinny
http://blnielson.blogspot.com/2015/05/meet-vinny.html
Friday, May 8, 2015. The kids found a new pet: Vinny, the snail. They were very resourceful and found "a cage" for Vinny so he wouldn't escape at his lightening-fast speed crawl. I may have shuddered when they opened that cage door. Vinny lasted quite awhile-and then was released back into the wild. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). The Nielsons: April 2015
http://blnielson.blogspot.com/2015_04_01_archive.html
Thursday, April 30, 2015. The Itch for Service. As it turns out, the chili dogs weren't the only thing that Bryan walked away with on Saturday. A day or two later, he started with a rash that has now evolved to this. We're guessing Poison Ivy or Poison Oak? We have no idea how everybody else stayed clear, but are so glad the kids don't have anything. We are open to suggestions if someone has a miraculous cure for this dang rash! Monday, April 20, 2015. We couldn't get settled fast enough! The next day we...

The Nielsons: Bring on the Heat!
http://blnielson.blogspot.com/2015/05/bring-on-heat.html
Friday, May 8, 2015. Bring on the Heat! We have already hit the low 90s here! It has cooled off since, but I remember how quickly the weather heats up here. We busted out the slip n' slide the other night when it was still 80 degrees. Summer is here! Emma was more into strutting on the slide. This is the third summer she's worn that swimsuit! Talk about getting my money's worth! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Even from the start, we just seemed to go together. What a Difference a Day Can Make.

The Nielsons: October 2014
http://blnielson.blogspot.com/2014_10_01_archive.html
Friday, October 31, 2014. We finally got around to carving our pumpkins on Halloween Eve. Luke had been looking forward to this for a looooong time. Emma enjoyed measuring the "pumpkin guts." Luke's favorite parts were playing in the pumpkin guts and using a sharp knife with dad. Making faces similar to their pumpkins. Checking out our fine work. Saturday, October 25, 2014. Excuse the burry pictures. These were taken with Bryan's camera and it was set on manual focus. :(. Wednesday, October 22, 2014.

The Nielsons: Monterey: Big Sur and Point Lobos
http://blnielson.blogspot.com/2015/05/monterey-big-sur-and-point-lobos.html
Saturday, May 9, 2015. Monterey: Big Sur and Point Lobos. Once again, we decided to leave town last minute. I really have a hard time planning anything beyond a few hours right now, so this spontaneity is working for me! We headed down to check out Monterey and a portion of the Big Sur. The addition of the headphones was a huge success. Myles is unsure of this whole headphones thang. After the beach, we headed down the coast to check out some Big Sur country. It was breath taking. Made it to Point Lobos ...

Wednesday, May 13, 2015. What a Difference a Day Can Make. Rockin' the undies with the rain boots. Luckily, she's too young to venture into the items behind her. :). The Nielsons: January 2015
http://blnielson.blogspot.com/2015_01_01_archive.html
Thursday, January 1, 2015. I think the kids slept better than their parents Christmas Eve night. There was a lot of excitement for the next morning. Luke and Emma were the perfect ages. I loved Christmas morning making these memories as a family. I think one of the highlights of Emma's Christmas morning was sneaking into Luke's room and watching shows on my phone cuddled underneath his blankets. The dress up box has been a huge hit with both kids. It was a Merry Christmas! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

The Nielsons: August 2014
http://blnielson.blogspot.com/2014_08_01_archive.html
Tuesday, August 26, 2014. I dare you to take a drink from this water fountain. Someone was getting a little tuckered out. We continued the short hike around the falls and made our way back to the campsite. Can you see the deer? I promise, it's there. Love the spring in Luke's step, even going uphill. Car camping at its finest-roller suitcase. The boys woke up earlier than the ladies, so they headed back to the waterfall for more pictures. Luke started off excited. This one and…. This one are my favorites.

The Nielsons: Hide And Go Seek
http://blnielson.blogspot.com/2015/05/hide-and-go-seek.html
Wednesday, May 13, 2015. Hide And Go Seek. The kids love to play this when we go to the park, especially with their dad. Bryan sent me this picture and it made me chuckle. Apparently, I need to work on their hiding skills at home before sending them out into the world. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Even from the start, we just seemed to go together.
