http://taterhas2daddies.blogspot.com/2008/10/south-africa-days-13-15-knysna.html
Tater Has 2 Daddies. South Africa: Days 13 - 15 (Knysna). Thursday, October 16, 2008. And checked on us - but our fearless leaders had it under control. In about 45 minutes they changed the massive truck tire and we were on our way! Once in Knysna late that afternoon we arrived at the inn which was situated in the middle of the forest about 3 miles from the main highway that went near the coastline. And who better to greet us than the inns 5 dogs! I hadn’t really considered this optional activity b...

Tater Has 2 Daddies: July 2008

Tater Has 2 Daddies. I Learned Italian - and So Can You! Tuesday, July 29, 2008. I'm happy to report that after many years of unsuccessful language study, I was able to learn Italian in a few short weeks. I'm hoping this post will help all of you follow it my footsteps and enjoy my success. In Italian, the words themselves are less important than hand gestures. This lack of focus on vocabulary was the key to my quick study! Don't forget to tailor your volume to the appropriate level of Exasperation.

Tater Has 2 Daddies. South Africa Tour: Days 4 and 5 (Kruger National Park to False Bay). Tuesday, September 16, 2008. This was the most eagerly anticipated part of the trip for most of us - Kruger National Park. We started early from Hazyview. And Warthog. I guess you will only hang out with those that won't try and eat you. At a rest stop. We came across a gazebo where the underside was COVERED in Fruitbats. What we did see was 100x better. Apparently. The rarest of all the animals you may ever see in ...

Tater Has 2 Daddies. South Africa: Days 6 and 7 (False Bay, Hluhlue and Dolphin Coast). Friday, September 19, 2008. Except it was going to be dark soon. Our open air truck was quite breezy (a major understatement) as we headed back to camp - now I know why they told us to dress warmly! Then came question time. Everyone kinda looked around and silently said, "you first! I couldn't think of what to ask so I just blurted out, "how is my health going to be? Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Por Blog and Web.

Tater Has 2 Daddies. South Africa: Days 10 - 12 (Clarens, Oldenberg, New Bethesda, The Karoo). Sunday, September 28, 2008. After breakfast the inn keeper advised us that we had to get our stuff immediately and head down the mountain. We had already packed and loaded everything so we jumped in and made it to our normal truck and transferred everything. We had no idea what the big hurry was - but perhaps it was to try and avoid what we actually ran into, or rather, through - the fire. After the hike I had ...

Tater Has 2 Daddies: June 2008

Tater Has 2 Daddies. The Trail of Beers. Sunday, June 29, 2008. After my WWII-induced funk, thank God for the EuroCup finals and Gay Pride! Pride was nestled between the EuroCup semi-finals and final game, of which both Germany was playing in. Let’s just say our livers were doing double-duty for those three days. But what were they so upset about? We followed the ever-increasing trail of broken glass to the entryway to the zone, which was blocked by police. Thinking this was just a temporary delay, w...
