We stopped at Natural Bridges National Park, Capitol Reef National Park and then on to Bryce Canyon. The drive was long with typical dessert rock formations of all kinds with very few trees or plant life of any kind. The drive took us across Lake Powell in Glen Canyon. Monday, September 28, 2009. Saturday, September 26, 2009. Camped in the Snow. On Thursday we drove through Trinidad and took Hwy 12 pass Stonewall and Monument Lake. There was snow when we started driving to Cordova Pass (11,200 ft). It started snowing when we got to the Pass so we did not hike to the Spanish Peaks. We camped at Purgatory Primitive camp. We put three blankets on the bed and slept warm, but some small critters played all night on the roof of the camper. We camped at South Mineral Creek Saturday Night.
