TEAM NORRIS: September 2010
http://norristeam.blogspot.com/2010_09_01_archive.html
Sunday, September 19, 2010. Falling Forward Towards 2! The summer heat has faded away and we are left with our favorite time of year - fall. Drier air, lower temperatures and all the wonderful colors lead us to love this season. Not to mention football and Oktoberfest! We have more words. More temper tantrums. More cooperation. More understanding. More vocabulary. More variety in foods. Fewer naps. Less peace and quiet. We had to abandon our old TV stand because young August learned to leverage everyday ...

TEAM NORRIS: March 2012
http://norristeam.blogspot.com/2012_03_01_archive.html
Thursday, March 22, 2012. Who can believe spring is here? Team Norris has weathered the holidays and made it out of winter unscathed. We are trying to kick the cold bug out of the house and the warm weather has helped. Livy is calling things by the first letter of the name, or first two letters. Mom is "M", Dad is "D", phone is "ph", club house is "ch" and you get the picture. It's pretty cute. She is starting to read her books out loud and her little voice saying the words is breathtaking. Livy loves ou...

TEAM NORRIS: July 2009
http://norristeam.blogspot.com/2009_07_01_archive.html
Saturday, July 25, 2009. We think this is pretty typical of any new parents. But the routine gets you by but also locks you in, and once you're locked in sometimes you need a change. So we've been doing a bit of traveling. Muscatine, Iowa City, driving around Burlington, is enough of a change of pace to reset the routine. So what about the kids? We can hardly believe we are where we are, nearly 10 months after a lot of time in the hospital and experiencing how tiny our kids were. Burlington has been home...

TEAM NORRIS: Christmas 2014
http://norristeam.blogspot.com/2014/12/christmas-2014.html
Wednesday, December 24, 2014. Only a year behind. As my high school band mentor Steve McCombs liked to say, "Time flies like an arrow, fruit flies like a banana.". That saying makes about as much sense as our life sometimes. Our last family update was December 2012 so we are only a year behind. As the kids would say now, "A year behind? Don't you mean a year butt? Is a favorite book series. In only 12 months, the boys progressed through first reader books to little kid comics and puns. Unusually large am...

Tuesday, October 27, 2009. This little piggy went to market. This little piggy stayed home. This little piggy ate roast beef. This little piggy had none. This little piggy cried wee wee wee all the way home! Here are the out takes:. There is life past the first birthday. Team Norris has had a busy October after the party heard 'round the world. Max is world-wide now. Er, make that first-floor wide. His crawling skills have taken off in the past two weeks. Surprisingly, he's quite content to e...The total...

TEAM NORRIS: January 2010
http://norristeam.blogspot.com/2010_01_01_archive.html
Wednesday, January 27, 2010. New Year, New Stuff. Can you see the light? The Reverend Cleophus (James Brown) asks Jake and Elwood if they can see the light. Yes, Jake and Elwood saw the light and got the band back together. After weeks of sick kids, sick parents, zero-degree temps, and having the blues we have seen the light. AMEN! The kids healed, the sun came out, and lo and behold the snow melted! And we saw the light. The sun came out, finally, and seemed to make everything all right. We have welcome...

Tuesday, February 12, 2013. I'm just so proud. As I write, Mike is in Des Moines. Today he received a $5,000,000 grant for SE Iowa AND was in USA Today! For a "behind-the-scenes-kinda-guy" he's really done himself wrong today! And I'm just so proud, I had to blog about it.for posterity. Here's the link to the USA Today Article. Picture from the USA Today article. Happy Valentine's Day to my strong, extremely smart, amazingly patient, always thoughtful, Mike. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Auggie, Livy, Max.

http://norristeam.blogspot.com/2009_12_01_archive.html
Wednesday, December 23, 2009. Merry Christmas everyone. We are going to attempt 3 Christmas outings this year. We're hoping for a wonderful change in the weather and easy-going triplets. We'll keep you posted. Here's a few pictures from this week of no school! Sunday, December 6, 2009. Ever take walking for granted? Until you can't walk? It all seems so easy. One leg in front of the other, right foot, left foot, right foot left. Turn right, or left how about a backwards step? Livvy loves her books and th...
