Josh in Bermuda: November 2006
http://jxbermuda.blogspot.com/2006_11_01_archive.html
Monday, November 20, 2006. My Wheels - part 2. After a 6 week waiting period to sit my Bermuda driving licence, I was able to take the 3 minute test which consisted of driving in and out of a dozen cones and turning both ways using indicators and arms. Another display of Bermuda efficiency. As a result though, I was able to return my 50CC rental and bought myself an upgrade to the dominating 100CC Yamaha Axis. Isn't she a beauty. Posted by Josh at 8:34 PM. Sunday, November 12, 2006. The Classic is held o...

Josh in Bermuda: July 2007
http://jxbermuda.blogspot.com/2007_07_01_archive.html
Sunday, July 29, 2007. We're now two-thirds through the cricket season so thought a quick update would be in order. We've now won seven in a row to sit second on the table (though I've only been around for three of those games with my recent traveling). Today (pictured below) was a fairly non-eventful day for me - faced one ball to finish with 1*, bowled one ball to take a wicket and end the game, dropped a hard catch and took an easy one. So not much action for me in seven hours of play! So, another gre...

Ross and Michelle on Tour: Naples – are we still in Italy? (Italy Part V)
http://rossandmichelleontour.blogspot.com/2010/09/naples-are-we-still-in-italy-italy-part.html
Ross and Michelle on Tour. Saturday, September 04, 2010. Naples – are we still in Italy? From the rural tranquillity of Umbria, after a 400km drive south, we found ourselves thrust into the noise, chaos and dirt that is Naples. Our view - a bit of a change from Assisi. So Naples was a place we had a love/hate relationship with. It is certainly worth a visit – highlights for us were:. La Pignasecca – Naples’ oldest street market. Although not the most famous market in Naples, we real. Museo di Capodimonte...

Ross and Michelle on Tour: ‘The hills are alive……..’ (Italy Pt II)
http://rossandmichelleontour.blogspot.com/2010/05/hills-are-alive-italy-pt-ii.html
Ross and Michelle on Tour. Monday, May 17, 2010. 8216;The hills are alive…….’ (Italy Pt II). Lake Iseo - an overnight stop en-route to Castelrotto in the Alps. The hills are alive. (the view from our hotel). That man deserves a zuppa. Church in the Alps. The blend of cultures here was intriguing and we really enjoyed the novelty of it all (in addition to the breathtaking geography! Hills on the drive from Lake Iseo to Alps - it was pretty chilly up there. Verona - the home of romance. We ate antipasti he...

Josh in Bermuda: June 2007
http://jxbermuda.blogspot.com/2007_06_01_archive.html
Friday, June 29, 2007. Ocho Rios, Jamaica. The final stop was Ocho Rios on the Northern shore of Jamaica. Jamaica was very different to our other destinations, I guess because it's much poorer than islands like the Bahamas and Cayman. We were hassled a bit to buy souvenirs, take taxis or buy drugs (or seeing Bob Marley as they put it), but it was nowhere near as bad as places like Bangkok or Indonesia. The beach - again just beautiful. Posted by Josh at 7:30 PM. Wednesday, June 27, 2007. Rum Point was a ...

Fraser's fables: Cappadocia - Rocks!!!
http://fraserjwilson.blogspot.com/2014/05/cappadocia-rocks.html
Tuesday, 27 May 2014. If you don't like rocks, then look away now. We arrived late after a short flight from Istanbul and were driven to our hotel in the dark. The hotel itself was supposed to be a cave, but it wasn't really. At least it was made out of the same rock. Straight away, into the rocks, and this is right beside the road. Wandering the Derwent valley. At the Zelve Open Air Museum. Wheel for grinding grain in the background. Camels for the tourists, and fairy chimneys. Our 'Cave' Hotel room.

http://fraserjwilson.blogspot.com/2013_01_01_archive.html
Friday, 18 January 2013. Shanon and Katie were over for a week in mid January. Kelley was well organised with a plan that involved a day at the Australian Open tennis, a trip to the theatre to see Jersey Boys and a wine tour in the Yarra Valley courtesy of their friendly driver. They had a good day. Kelley, Katie, and Shanon. Drinks at Chandon at the end of the day. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile.

Fraser's fables: Blue Cruise
http://fraserjwilson.blogspot.com/2014/05/blue-cruise.html
Friday, 30 May 2014. After a second breakfast and a bit of a snooze, we plucked up the courage to take on the rugged descent down the cliff to Butterfly valley. The guidebook recommended caution and noted that an Australian tourist had died attempting the descent so that made me wanted to give it a crack even more! Steep 'track' down to the valley. Side of the valley from halfway down the track. One day cruise boat at Butterfly beach. On the ferry to Olundeniz. Paraglider from Mt Babadag. The two days in...

Fraser's fables: December 2012
http://fraserjwilson.blogspot.com/2012_12_01_archive.html
Saturday, 29 December 2012. Peter and Robyn's visit Christmas 2012. Peter and Robyn arrived for a well deserved holiday for the week encompassing Christmas, Boxing day test and Kelley's birthday. They didn't get much of a holiday, it was rather busy. The day after they arrived was a harsh welcome to summer in Melbourne with hot winds and a temperature nearing 40 degrees. We escaped by heading out to Healsville and enjoying a late celebration of Peter's birthday with a seafood buffet. The old cabinets wer...

Fraser's fables: April 2012
http://fraserjwilson.blogspot.com/2012_04_01_archive.html
Friday, 20 April 2012. Dad and the pups. Four pups keeping Dad amused on the lawn at Alexandra. Pups of Bevan's dog Moss and Dad's dog Spy. Friday, 13 April 2012. Weka foraging for food on a rainy start at Ships Cove. More Weka, there were plenty of them and very curious. Lunchtime was at Furneaux Lodge. Typical Marlborough Sounds view, spoiled by the rain and grey clouds. This is more like it, day 2 views. Kelley about to tackle some steep rocky downhill. Brief respite from pushing uphill. Our trip to t...
