Monday, October 31, 2011. I have always felt that my life has been blessed. I grew up in a family that loved me, and although there were some rough patches in there, my childhood was great! My life has been blessed beyond measure. Well, let me tell you that I took all this better than I would ever have expected from myself. The only explanation I can give is that I was ALIVE! The doctor thinks I will regain 90% uusage! My recovery is going so much better than expected! If that is His plan, it will happen!

Thursday, February 12, 2009. Never Put a Rock in Your Ear. We have had quite the exciting couple of days. Our adventure began when Carter put a rock in his ear at church last night. Do you see where this might be going? Another Mom and I tried to pull it out with tweezers and a bulb syringe, but we were unsuccessful (of course). Wednesday, May 7, 2008. As I Sit on the Front Porch. I am noticing a lot of things. First of all, those crazy people across the street are sitting in their garage again, watching me. I am trying to pretend like I don't notice, but I do. What is with those people? Their kids aren't even outside! They have a great backyard (we saw it before they moved in), but they are always sitting in their garage, watching the neighbors. It is creepy. At least I am sitting out here watching Carter. Monday, March 24, 2008. Well, Alex was back to school this morning, but I get one more day with Carter since Abilene is out today. WHY can't the local school districts get on the same schedule? Alex is off Friday, but not Carter. Okay, I had a pretty good day yesterday.once I FINALLY made it home! Why is it that one or two people's thoughtlesness can ruin an entire morning that otherwise would have been great? Why do people not consider how their actions affect others? I wish every evening was like that!

Thursday, January 8, 2009. Well, It Has Been So Long. I don't know how I can get caught up! We had a great Christmas vacation this year, and everyone at home is still in relaxation mode, which is fabulous! I am sure that will all change when I go back to the studio next week, but Summer will be here before we know it! Saturday, August 29, 2009. A New Year.School Year, That Is! Well, here we are beginning a new school year! Alex is in second grade, Carter is in first grade, and Jeffrey is a senior. Wait a second - who is Jeffrey? About a week ago, Eric and were approached by a rep from 'Face the World'. And after much discussion, we decided to host an international student for 10 months. 3 days later, we became the proud parents to an 18 year old boy from the Netherlands - Jeffrey! He is a real sweetie!

Wednesday, June 15, 2011. Lessons I am Learning. We have had a few moments of frustration, but no big issues to deal with. As I waited for the worst today, I wondered, 'What is different? I am equally prepared as I have been in the past, I chose recipes that are just as complex as the last couple of years. What is happening? After much reflection, I have come to a couple of conclusions. But this week, it seems like joyfulness and love and GIVING have pervaded everyone. Including me. I may need your help.
