Monday, April 04, 2005. A point is made of cyber space being a refinement of literature. The term doesn’t quite fit, for although writing is becoming more ubiquitous, the writing itself is waning. Refinement suggests a certain quality to the writing, but in my opinion internet is most notably adding quantity, not quality. Dibbell goes on to say that cyber space is a mere extension of the age-old technique of writing, which is true, however, this new medium should not be considered an unequivocal benefit.

It doesn’t kill the presentation, it just helps. The CNN article makes a convincing point that PowerPoint is not the panacea for presentations and I tend to agree.
