Discovering family and faith through stories. We Ate Everything: On Food and Memory in Paris. January 2, 2015. April 16, 2015. Place St. Michel, blurry. Hurrying for crêpes. I asked Linda. No, she said. I just want to sit on this bench and look at this street and the people coming down. When in the Louvre the next day, we saw a crowd at the Mona Lisa. We did not stay in that room for long. Photo credit: Paul Jung. Rather, we sat a long time at Géricault’s. Raft of the Medusa. After the Louvre we took the...

Gifts from Strangers – This Great Deep
https://thisgreatdeep.com/2014/12/17/gifts-from-strangers
Discovering family and faith through stories. December 17, 2014. December 14, 2015. Over the past few weeks following Jane’s heart surgery, our family received many gifts: meals, kind words, help with children, and numerous crafts, toys, and cards that otherwise helped fill our stomachs, alleviate stress, and pass our time. What refining is endured in order to obtain gifts of compassion, empathy, or charity for friends and even strangers? It goes even further. I begin to see the good in those with wh...

The Richards: July 2011
http://chadandcourt.blogspot.com/2011_07_01_archive.html
Sunday, July 10, 2011. After attending three different colleges, and changing my major three different times, I finally graduated! I have my bachelors degree in Human Development and Family Studies with a minor in Nutrition. Boy, it sure feels good to be finished! Graduation would not be complete without the classic picture of me throwing my cap into the air. Well, I threw my cap a little too high, and it landed on top of the Huntsman Building. Oops! The Richards: 2 years!
http://chadandcourt.blogspot.com/2012/10/2-years.html
Sunday, October 21, 2012. It is hard to believe that we have been married for two years! It feels like yesterday that Chad and I were driving to the temple to get sealed and he thought I was getting cold feet because I wasn't talking (I was a little nervous) and wouldn't look at him, when really I didn't want to move my head so I wouldn't ruin my hair. We laugh about that all of the time. These past two years have been so incredible! Two years down, forever to go! Cassidy and Daniel Stephens.

Discovering family and faith through stories. Give Me this Mountain. December 12, 2014. May 26, 2016. Now therefore give me this mountain. During my college years, systematically conquering peak after peak. During this time I found a favorite place Mt. Aire and returned there often alone, to read and think. Now, as my minivan wears down the miles at her foothills, I am too often resigned to the daily minutia that keeps me from her trails. Continue reading →. May 25, 2014. May 31, 2015. Discovering family and faith through stories. Forever Yours: The Poems of my Grandparents. October 2, 2015. October 2, 2015. Forever Yours: The Collected Poems of Dorothy Smith and Ellsworth M. Clark. Cover design by Kimball Clark. This is my very first attempt at poetry. I know it does not rhyme, and the meter is wrong in places, but well, don’t show it to anybody. It just happened to be the way I felt a little while ago. It seems good to get back to my typewriter. To You About Me. Or be content with no...
