From a trail called 'Life': Air raid: Bomber Traverse in an 11-hour epic

From a trail called 'Life'. Tales from the trails and far beyond: a photoblog from Alaska. Monday, May 2, 2011. Air raid: Bomber Traverse in an 11-hour epic. I had initially planned a little Valley adventure to the north with some skate skiing and road biking, but when I woke up Saturday morning I had a text on my phone from Jack about slamming the Bomber Traverse in one go on Sunday. That was all I needed to see. There are many variations of the traverse, Jack printed out the above map of our route, whi...

From a trail called 'Life': The call
http://atrailcalledlife.blogspot.com/2010/10/call.html
From a trail called 'Life'. Tales from the trails and far beyond: a photoblog from Alaska. Thursday, October 14, 2010. It’s 6 pm, the sun is falling behind the snow covered mountains, a bitter northwind is freezing my thinly covered arms, and I still can’t see the crest of this climb. It’s early October, I’m trying to make it to the high point of a moraine south of Lost Lake. I knew when I set off on this ride it was going to be rough, and now, I just want it to be over. The Alaska Range Project. Exploring and Photographing the Alaska Range. Skip to primary content. About The Alaska Range. Images taken between 2004-2005 were made with a Mamiya 645 camera. I switched to digital capture in 2006. Since 2012, I have worked almost exclusively with the Nikon D800e. I try to work simply and carry minimal equipment, I often only carry a single lens, with the 70-200 f4 being my primary mountain photography lens. Do you want to support this project and own some nice photography?
