Vil du starte et nyt møde? Antallet af disse kvindegrupper voksede støt fra 1935-1950, og i 1951, som er Al-Anons officielle opstartsår, oprettede Bill W's kone Lois W og hendes veninde Anne B et administrationskontor, hvorfra de sendte post ud og fungerede som et samlingspunkt for de knap 87 grupper, der på det tidspunkt eksisterede i USA. Al-Anon tilpassede sig næsten ordret AA's 12 trin og traditioner, mens de 12 retningslinjer fik et mere selvstændigt præg. Lad det begynde med mig.
