Catching up with my modern day Kansas Dorothy on the phone a few nights ago she struck me with the idea to create this blog. A nice way to keep my food affair separate from my writings and focus on the food a bit more. So here we are. And thus begins A La Avocado. What will this blog be about? Most likely it will evolve with time, as does everything, but at the moment it will serve as a collection of recipes, interesting places to eat around the Triad area, and food from my travels. Archive May, 2012. I’m not big on measuring out my food, I tend to taste test as I go but luckily for this recipe you don’t really need to measure out anything. Put in as much as you wish for each ingredient. Make it your own. Two large portabella mushrooms. Extra Firm Tofu (or beef if you must have meat). Preheat your oven to 350 degrees. Overstuffed Mushrooms | A La Avocado

I’m not big on measuring out my food, I tend to taste test as I go but luckily for this recipe you don’t really need to measure out anything. Put in as much as you wish for each ingredient. Saute chucks of tofu in olive oil. In retrospect I would have soaked the tofu in sriracha overnight to add a spicy kick to this dish.
