Anthropology of Baja California. ADESU is a coalition of non-profit organizations that is helping to preserve the native communities. Contact them to find out about tours and events. Terra Peninsular, A.C., is a Mexican non-profit working to preserve the landscapes of Baja California. (Currently Spanish only) Terra is working in partnership with The Nature Conservancy. And International Community Foundation. Rancho Santa Ana Botanical Garden.

Following graduate school, he became active in various conservation projects in Baja California, including being a member of the board of Pro esteros, Pro Peninsula, and supporting the coalition to protect Baha San Quintn. He is a founding board member of Terra Peninsular, AC, a Mexican land conservation organization. Alan has worked as a volunteer photographer for various conservation organizations, including Pro Esteros and the California Institute for Biodiversity.

An exhibition of 34 photographs of the pristine landscapes and unique plants of Baja is opening at the Esquina de Bodegas Gallery in downtown Ensenada, Baja California on Saturday, August 19, 2006 at 7pm and continues through September 11. The exhibition is curated by Berta Armas, owner of an art gallery in Punta Banda, Ensenada.
