Some of my drawings and paintings. This is a very small selection of my sketches and paintings. Business and life in general have prevented me settling down to produce more work but changes are planned and I intend to update this section. I plan to make this the main part of the site eventually but, for now, these are some pieces of work that are handy. The sketch above is a study of a Mallard Anas platyrhynchos. I use pencils a lot but also work in colour, using gouache and watercolours.

Typically me; watching something flying by rather than taking notice of the people I'm with. These are the mountains of Eastern UAE, rising to 1000m and very near Fujairah on the East Coast.

In spring and autumn thousands of cranes pass overhead and it's not unusual to see hundreds in the sky at the same time. One of our local birds cruises over the garden.
