I’ve been playing guitar around Newcastle Upon Tyne for the best part of twenty years. I started on my grandads old nylon string that was left in my house after he passed away when I was young lad. I remember laying it like a piano trying to figure out how it worked. It didn’t make sense. Luckily, I’ve worked it out now and it sounds quite good when you sing with it too. I’ve been writing music for as long as I’ve been playing, whether it’s for groups or solo.

This site presents a small selection of my pictures. I hope they mean something to others but they are here because I like them. Most of my pictures are the result of random serendipity, although I sometimes set out with an idea or project in mind. This illustrates, I suppose, that I am torn between two approaches to photography: prowling about with a camera hoping to snap up something interesting; and, trying to visualise something in my mind's eye and planning how I might capture it.
