One mans marathon is another mans holiday! September 15, 2014. Today is 131 days since my achilles/haglund’s surgery. It has been a long slow frustrating painful infuriating depressing confusing time. The surgeon had said “3 months and you’ll be jogging again”. Then today it finally happened! After the milestone on Monday of standing up on my toes using only my weak leg, I was keen to show off to my physiotherapist on Wednesday. He was really happy that this turning point had finally arrived. Took nineteen weeks instead of the expected eight, but that’s life!
