blog

Monday, 28 July 2014. The Boy and the Mountain, first book of the Tam Goatland adventures, is now a beautiful 250-page paperback and available on Amazon right now, here. All those who have politely pointed out that not everyone in the world likes reading electronic books (and I know how they feel) can now own a paperback copy. And I can truthfully say that it's a really lovely book - thanks to Patrick's design work, and CreateSpace's production. Nothing quite like the feel of a good book in the hand!

Wednesday, 21 October 2009. Time to introduce La Belle France to these pages. For those who don’t know, Margaret and I have the good fortune to own a small (very small! Well, for the time being, L’Octroi is a bookshop, specialising in second-hand and rare English books and MS and run by the excellent Cid Jackson. Don’t ask why. I don’t know why a 19C monument in the middle of France should be an English bookshop run by a West-Yorkshireman. It just is so. Take my word. Funny the way things turn out.

http://alanrobertshaw.blogspot.com/2014/02/blog-tour.html

Sunday, 9 February 2014. Well, thanks Iain! After more than half a century trying, I’ve evidently managed to convince someone that I really am a writer – else why would the excellent Iain Maloney have nominated me for one of the next links in the blog chain? And – oh look! Before I’ve even started here is a tempting digression lying by the wayside just waiting for me to pick it up! For doesn’t one forge. But, no – I will resist! What am I working on? At anything just at the moment. Just thinking. The que...

Alan Robertson’s Blog. Still working on a title. July 16, 2008. Do Not Attempt Unless Your Name is MacGyver. Remember my pride in cleaning my a/c coils myself? Remember my joy about having frosty air blowing through the vents? To be sure, our house makes the best of the situation.
