As an artist, I am not fixed to one particular style or subject matter and am constantly exploring various themes and styles of paintings. I normally work in 'oil on canvas' but have also been attending more workshops and life drawing classes to develop my skills and broaden my interests. Fruit of the Vine'.

If you would like to commission a portrait, please contact me by e-mail or phone. When a portrait is being considered, I prefer to meet and discuss the project with the people concerned, and I also like to do sketches and take suitable photographs as reference of the person who is having their portrait painted. I have always liked the challenge of producing portraits. Artists like John Singer Sargent and Anders Zorn have been my inspiration. I have been particularly interested in large format portraits because of the visual impact they generate.

Marine

I have lived for most of my life in Auckland - 'The City of Sails', and have always had an interest in boats and sailing. In recent years, I have developed a real interest in sailing adventures as captured by authors, like Patrick O'Brien, Dewey Lambdin, etc, which has led me to focus on producing more marine themes paintings.
