Sunday, July 27, 2014. My Blogiversary and a Giveaway. Can't believe it's that time again! I have been blogging for a ( little) while now and it doesn't really feel like it has been that long. Looking back through some of my posts I can see how much I've grown as a blogger. Not really my typing/wording but how much my photographs and sewing has come along. Let's be real here; I'm not winning a Pulitzer anytime soon. Making a musketeer hat. Followed a close second by my tutorial on. How to make this bag.

Friday, January 27, 2012. If I Were Part of the One Per Cent. The Occupy movement, which is against economic and social inequality, tried to enter the high-security venue of the World Economic Forum today. I wish I was part of the one per cent of the world’s richest people. If I were, I would:. 8226; Pay someone to clean my house. 8226; Hire a personal shopper to help me with the dreadful task of clothes shopping. 8226; Become a stay-at-home mom. 8226; Buy a hobby farm with acreage. This, That and The Other Thing: Blast from the past
http://thisandthatday.blogspot.com/2013/03/blast-from-past.html
Monday, March 18, 2013. Blast from the past. I have a hope chest filled with pictures, my son's baby clothes, my old toys and gifts I pick up here and there. My son wanted to look into my hope chest tonight so I pulled out the gifts and hid them elsewhere. He discovered the markers I left for him to find and Super Merlin from my childhood. Tonight we played with the '80s version of a DS. It takes six AA batteries and has nine games such as E's favourite hi-low and matching. Its the beginning of the end!

I'm Living Proof that God Has a Sense of Humor. Monday, January 16, 2012. The social life of a 7-year old girl. I met Bella outside her classroom the other day after school. She and another little girl in her class were chatting about the day's events. As they bid one another farewell, the little girl shouted to Bella, "Call me! I glanced at Bella and asked, "Uh, did she just tell you to call her? Bella nodded her head. "Yeah, she gave me her phone number. She wants me to call her tonight.". I teased, "T...

Sunday, December 1, 2013. Happy Halloween.and Thanksgiving. Well let's start at the begining I suppose. The little guy was a viking for Halloween. For him I sewed up some faux fur boot covers and fur vest. It was raining and yucky out so we did not stay out long although he was pretty warm. He even had on a fake red beard and hair under his horned helmet. Sorry this is the only decent picture I got that night; you can't really see the boot covers or the vest over his coat. Then I had to pack up the entire.
