The Albania Bridge Project, is a project aimed at raising funds to build a bridge in the remote mountains of northern Albanian. The bridge in Ure e Shtrentje would help a simple farming community to come together during the long and cold winter months, allowing the children go to school.

Trying to raise money to build a new bridge in the small village of Ure e Shtrentje. The village is divided in half by a deep gorge, that has been cut into the mountain by the winter and spring rains. The villagers used to cross it via a large stone bridge. But just a few years ago, the torrents coming down the mountains were so strong and powerful that they tore the old bridge away. Help us build a bridge to a better future for the people of Ure e Shtrentje! And see what Oxfam GB is doing to help them.

The bridge has been built now, thanks to the generous help of many donors, as well as Oxfam, who helped out with a lump sum. Stiamo raccogliendo fondi per costruire un ponte nel piccolo villaggio di Ure e Shtrenjte, nel nord dell'Albania. Il villaggio è separato in due parti da una profonda gola attraversata dal fiume. Fino a qualche anno fa esisteva un ponte di pietra che è stato distrutto da una piena del fiume. Un vero ponte è di una importanza vitale per questo villaggio. Gli abitanti sono disposti a costruirlo con il lavoro delle loro braccia, ma mancano i soldi per acquistare i materiali! Il preventivo ammonta a 14,000.
