Entering its 9th year in 2016, The City of Albany Art Prize continues to play an important role in the cultural and economic development of the Great Southern region. The Prize is integral to the ongoing development of the City’s already sizeable Art Collection via the major acquisitive prize, which is sponsored by The Jack Family Charitable Trust. Acquisitive prize with work selected for the City of Albany Art Collection. Plus a 4 week studio residency in Albany with $2,500 for expenses.

Jack Family Charitable Trust. The Jack Family Charitable Trust was established by the late Muriel Isabel Freeman. The inaugural City of Albany Art Prize in 2008 was the first arts event to be supported by the Jack Family Charitable Trust and the Trustees, alongside the City of Albany, continue to recognise the important role that arts play in the broader community and within the City of Albany.

H x W cm *paintings in multiple parts are acceptable but must be considered as a single work, with a maximum size of 150 x 150cm including the frame. Image 1 (jpg, gif, bmp, png). Images must be jpegs with a minimum resolution of 300 dpi at 15cm x 15cm but not larger than 5MB in size. Image 2 (jpg, gif, bmp, png).
