The Alberta Adventure: May 2008

http://albertaadventure.blogspot.com/2008_05_01_archive.html

The thoughts and jottings of one family's emigrating experience. Thursday, 29 May 2008. Raining cats (and dogs). Good grief, what's this? Hmm, tough one. Now spring is here, however, it is a different ball of wax. The last couple of weeks has seen Merlin peering mournfully out of the window and both cats sitting hopefully by the deck door. So we must face up to the fact that soon we will have to bite the bullet and let them out. So what? Tuesday, 13 May 2008. All too soon, the holiday was over and we had...

http://albertaadventure.blogspot.com/2008_04_01_archive.html

The thoughts and jottings of one family's emigrating experience. Wednesday, 30 April 2008. The weather was variable. It alternated from foggy and cold to sunny and warm, but the snow on the upper slopes was wonderful. We were all relieved to discover that we hadn't forgotten how to do it and boy, was there a lot to do. Wednesday, 23 April 2008. Sunday, 6 April 2008. By the realtor. Yep, actual hard cash. The Alberta Adventure: December 2008

http://albertaadventure.blogspot.com/2008_12_01_archive.html

The thoughts and jottings of one family's emigrating experience. Sunday, 21 December 2008. Twas the week before Christmas. Well, I think we look pretty relaxed, which is more than can be said for my friend behind me. Mind you, I should have worn a different shirt.it clashes terribly. Friday, 5 December 2008. Hold the phone. Apart from being slightly unethical, arguably constitutional and downright immoral, haven't they forgotten something? Er, yeah, the electorate. It is on the tip of my tongue. Oh y...

The Alberta Adventure: October 2008

http://albertaadventure.blogspot.com/2008_10_01_archive.html

The thoughts and jottings of one family's emigrating experience. Friday, 24 October 2008. Our plans for the next year maybe or should I do a summary of our first year? Well, I'm not doing any of those. Instead, I'm going to present some of the more offbeat observations about our adoptive country witnessed to some degree during this first 12 months. A sort of homage to the quirky side of Canada. Canadians treat winter with the contempt it deserves. Canadians walk on the right. Just like they drive. At lea...

Alberta Adventist News

Monday, March 29, 2010. Bible Study is Popular in Blackfalds. Since that joy-filled day, the group has met every Wednesday evening in those same comfy chairs by the fireplace. However, things have changed since that humble beginning. No longer is it just a group of three or four people meeting, but it has grown to be fifteen to twenty people! And amongst these are not only Blackfalds church members and young people from CUC but also community members, one of which has been coming since the spring of 2008!
