Albin Hagström was born in 1905 in Orsa, Dalarna. At the age of 10 he bought his first accordion and this was to be the beginning of his interest in the instrument which grew in the following years. This interest developed to understanding the construction, production and then marketing the accordion. In 1923 he imported 25 accordions from the supplier in Germany and sold these quickly by advertisements in the newspapers. On the 19th January 1925 Albin Hagström was registered as a company.
