Writing Walking Whatever: February 2008
http://book-o-holic.blogspot.com/2008_02_01_archive.html
A sometimes fun, sometimes bumpy, sometimes clunky writing and bushwalking journey. Friday, February 8, 2008. Review: Tumble by Trent Jamieson (Podcast). Online at Pseudopod 74 25th January, 2008. I’m a big fan of podcasts, especially literary ones. I wack them on my ipod, then go for a walk around the burbs for an hour or two and come back well exercised and a little bit happier for having achieved two things at once. So when I discovered Pseudopod. Things do work out in horror, but not how you want.

Writing Walking Whatever: January 2008
http://book-o-holic.blogspot.com/2008_01_01_archive.html
A sometimes fun, sometimes bumpy, sometimes clunky writing and bushwalking journey. Friday, January 25, 2008. Human v Inhuman II. Online at fantasy magazine. 21st january, 2008. Spoiler Warning: Maybe this is more of a critique than a review. I don't like spoilers, but found it hard to write about this story without giving (what some readers may think) too much away. I don't think I have, but I thought I'd warn you just in case. Focuses on acknowledging one’s humanity as a means to survive, this st...

Whatever ( in Exile ). For when I break my Movable Type. Scalzi.com access issues, 6/15/08. June 15th, 2008. On 6/15/08, there are access problems with Scalzi.com, relating to the fact that my host provider (1and1.com) is being blocked by a number of ISPs for not particularly good reason as far as I can see. Which is to say that the site is up, you just might not be able to get to it from your ISP. Who knows how long this tomfoolery will last. 2008-06-15 10:30 pm (UTC). 2008-07-04 11:24 pm (UTC).

My plan had been to get some fresh air, go in, start coffee, and wake my latest new girlfriend, Greta. But the fresh air smelled like rotting squid and Greta woke me, slapping my face while I lay on the cold sand. I shook her off and sat up. I was soaked. 8220;Kelly,” she said. “What the hell is wrong with you? My mother said the water would mess with me. R...

Writing Walking Whatever: Seattle Week 1
http://book-o-holic.blogspot.com/2008/06/seattle-week-1.html
A sometimes fun, sometimes bumpy, sometimes clunky writing and bushwalking journey. Monday, June 23, 2008. I'm over the jet lag, but the urge to write a story is much greater than the urge to blog. So here's a quick run down of what I've been up to since leaving Perth. Highlight of the Flight: Seeing snow-capped Mt Fuji from the plane and a minefield of volcanoes on the approach to Seattle. Awesome News I've heard: The announcement of the Locus Awards for Shaun Tan (for The Arrival. Ed with Garder Dozois).
