Australian born Paula Christine Ovenden, (now known as MamaPaula), first had a heart for African children when she was fourteen years of age after viewing an advertisement for child sponsorship in 1989. She said, One day I will go there and do something. Still raising her three children they traveled together to Botswana on various occasions and assisted in the set up of the project. Paula’s mother being her number one support says, For as long as I remember Paula has always loved children.
