Quarter Acre Farm: June
http://quarteracrefarmwa.blogspot.com/2011/06/june.html
Our little slice of farm life, raising sheep, chickens, and produce in the Upper Rainier Beach neighborhood of Seattle. Wednesday, June 22, 2011. Ginkgo and Jared's bird. Summer has arrived according to the calendar but the weather continues to feel a lot like Spring. Ripe strawberry, there are a lot of them. Romaine lettuce, or as I call it, tonight's dinner. Carrots are coming along. So are the beets. A little succession planting. One garden bed still waiting for soil and plants. Thistle, scratching an...

http://quarteracrefarmwa.blogspot.com/2011_02_01_archive.html
Our little slice of farm life, raising sheep, chickens, and produce in the Upper Rainier Beach neighborhood of Seattle. Thursday, February 17, 2011. Northwest weather is notoriously unpredictable and for the last week it's been continuing to prove it. Is it cold, raining, warmer, sunny? It's actually been a good week to be sick, if there is such a thing. Maybe I can get all the sickness over with before the real work begins in mere weeks. Wednesday, February 9, 2011. Here's to more sun! Lastly, my Urban ...

Quarter Acre Farm: July

Our little slice of farm life, raising sheep, chickens, and produce in the Upper Rainier Beach neighborhood of Seattle. Wednesday, July 27, 2011. I cannot believe how busy it's been on the farm! Pencil and her chicks. How do they all fit? Meanwhile, egg production has slowed for a time. There's nothing like opening up the nesting box to see a perfect egg just waiting for collection. Freshly laid egg in the nesting box. The lambs are growing like crazy! Waiting for the vet to open. Did someone say snacks?
