If I were an artist. With blank canvass in hand. I’d paint you a picture. Of a beautiful land. So you can tuck it away. And carry it around. For days that life’s burdens. Keep pulling you down. Then steal a quick peek. And close your eyes tight. Sit back and relax. Drift off on a flight. It’s always quite close. Not a very big space. So a few puffy clouds. Can hold it in place. It’s not part of this earth. That’s far too material. For a place that’s so beautiful. It’s almost ethereal. So when you lay back.

Many years ago I started to write little ditties to find smiles for friends. This is a short collection of some of things I’ve written. Having been asked by my family and many friends over the years to make my stories and poems more easily available, I would think a site on the Internet is pretty “available”. The poems and short stories speak for themselves. Each one has a small back story of when, where and why they were originally written. But I think can be enjoyed without those back stories.
