http://liddell6.blogspot.com/2014_11_01_archive.html
Monday, November 24, 2014. For Veteran's Day we decided to go to Darmstadt. Only about 1/2 hour from where we live, Darmstadt was the capital of Hesse, which was an independent country until the formation of the German Empire in 1871. Side note, I recently read this. Article, and it mentions President Uchtdorf and his family lived in Darmstadt when the Berlin wall came down :). Here are some of the things we've seen so far. Wilhelminenplatz, with the Church of St. Ludwig in the background. We also notice...

Our House: February 2015
http://liddell6.blogspot.com/2015_02_01_archive.html
Monday, February 2, 2015. I propose that there are actually 5 seasons - Spring, Summer, Fall, Christmas Winter, and Ugly Winter. I seriously get excited for Christmas Winter every year, and I especially love a White Christmas. It's beautiful, it's festive, it's magical. Usually the temperature isn't too terrible, and you can actually enjoy the outdoors. Sledding and building snowmen, then drinking Hot Cocoa to warm up. It's a Winter Wonderland. Sunday, February 1, 2015. Joe and I had the opportunity to t...

Our House: May 2015

Wednesday, May 27, 2015. Over Memorial Day weekend, Joe and I wanted to go explore Heidelberg. Our kids did not want to go walk around another boring town, looking at churches and castle ruins. What? Whatever, we went with out them. Who needs dumb kids anyway? Mark Twain wrote about Heidelberg castle, specifically the split turret (pictures below) in. Second is the Heidelberg Tun, the world's largest wine barrel. It was built in 1751 to hold all the wine that was paid as taxes from the local wine gro...

Our Little Piece of Crazy: November 2010
http://queenkarrie.blogspot.com/2010_11_01_archive.html
Our Little Piece of Crazy. Monday, November 29, 2010. I'm at a friends babysitting and Holden and her daughter Lucy (who Holden adores) are playing. Holden says "lets pretend that I love you and you're my girlfriend and I'm your boyfriend". Lucy says "okay", then he hinds behind the coach and says "I'll text. And then she says, "text me that too". I don't know who I should be more concerned with in this scenario. Thursday, November 11, 2010. My kids are funny. I know I haven't updated in FOREVER! I don't...
