Sally Lancaster Art: Latest Commission
http://sallylancasterportraits.blogspot.com/2009/09/latest-commission.html
Monday, 14 September 2009. Here is my latest commission, a big 24x20" painting of three beautiful Cocker Spaniels, Stevie, Misty and Jimmy. I had totally underestimated how long this painting would take me, giving myself just 3 weeks and in the end it took me a month but their owner is very happy with the finished painting and even I'm quite happy with it! As an artist, you always tend to pick on your own work so if you're even vaguely happy with your painting, that's a good thing! I am a professional Po...

Wildside Art...for really wild art
http://wildsideart.blogspot.com/2012/07/mothers-love-close-up-finally-finished.html
Wildside Art.for really wild art. Wildside Art is dedicated to nature/wildlife art, conservation, and education of the impact man has on nature. I hope you will follow me on my life journey and share yours with me as well. Monday, July 2, 2012. This piece took forever to complete. It required a lot of detail and many glazed layers of color to give dimension and form to the sweet pair. September 13, 2012 at 11:39 PM. This is beautiful Deborah. It looks like it was a labor of love. Thanks for stopping by.

Sally Lancaster Art: April 2009
http://sallylancasterportraits.blogspot.com/2009_04_01_archive.html
Monday, 20 April 2009. Ain't the sun great! Yet another lovely weekend where the sun made an appearance. My mum came to visit this house for the first time and we made the most of the weather, Saturday visiting a country fair in Monmouth and yesterday going to visit the Point to Point races at Andoversford. The country fair was still a bit windy and chilly but a fun day out, bumping in to fellow Equestrienne artist Nikki Moore. My latest commission was of a beautiful Beagle called Parson. I now have a ph...

Sally Lancaster Art: Latest Commission
http://sallylancasterportraits.blogspot.com/2009/10/latest-commission.html
Wednesday, 28 October 2009. Well, I'm back at last! D It's been a while since my last posting on here but I had been really busy with a big painting only to completely forget to take a photo of the finished version! Which is a brilliant source of information about all things Cocker Spaniel and also a great place to talk with owners. Here is the painting of William. Commissions are finally starting to pick up which is great as it's been a very quiet year with the recession and I had been worrying! The Wil...

Sally Lancaster Art: February 2009
http://sallylancasterportraits.blogspot.com/2009_02_01_archive.html
Thursday, 12 February 2009. Denman and Kauto Star. I finished the painting of Denman and Kauto Star this morning and am very pleased with the result. I had used the black background to start with as both photos I was working from had them looking out from their stables so their necks blended into shadows but I absolutely love the dark background as it's made them stand out so well. I've also received an art blog award from two wonderful artists whom I admire greatly, Laura Hardie. Links to this post.

Sally Lancaster Art: Catch up!
http://sallylancasterportraits.blogspot.com/2010/01/catch-up.html
Monday, 11 January 2010. Blimey, where's the time gone? I haven't blogged on here in ages and I must apologise for that, Christmas and the New Year got in the way and I didn't realise how long it had been. Quite what, I haven't yet figured out but I need to find a solution. I am also happy to say that my donkey painting "Are You Hiding Carrots? Has been made into Limited Edition Prints and can be found in my print section. And finally for some very exciting news! Again, I need to work out how to get the ...

Sally Lancaster Art: March 2009
http://sallylancasterportraits.blogspot.com/2009_03_01_archive.html
Monday, 23 March 2009. Here are my latest two commissions, Paris at the top and Bea below. Paris was a fun commission to do due to the different style, the inspiration taken from a previous painting of mine. The owner had a fabulous photo of the beautiful Paris cantering across her field and wanted to recreate this with a more contemporary background. Links to this post. Thursday, 19 March 2009.
