This blog is written by a guy in Eastern Missouri who’s a husband and a father. Its written mostly for my benefit, but maybe you’ll get something out of it as well. I certainly won’t post everything I write or think about, but if I do, it will may be about my hobbies, rants, political and religious beliefs. Feel free to comment. Keep it constructive and respectful. Step outside those bounds, and I’ll delete you without so much as a second thought. Leave a Reply Cancel reply. Enter your comment here.

This blog is not dead. How to make brass prep not suck – part 1. May 5, 2012. The process of loading rifle cartridges is conceptually a simple process:. Lube the case and case mouth. Chamfer the case mouth. Clean the primer pocket and swage if necessary. Clean the case again. Obviously I have over simplified this process a great deal with my list. If you want a good tutorial on how to do it properly, grab a cup of coffee and head over to Carteach0. And read his articles on case prep: Part 1. I have two o...

Most boring drive in America…. Long weekend →. Thoughts on the 5-shooter. June 16, 2009. A good friend of mine has a couple posts on the snub nose revolver, part 1. Go pay him a visit. No doubt, these little guns aren’t without their issues as I’ve discovered. I generally keep mine stoked with Buffalo Bore 158 gr P. Bullets, and Spear Gold Dot’s. For the reload. The BB rounds can be a little brisk, but I don’t think they are any worse than 158 gr Sellier and Bellot. Most boring drive in America…. JoeR...

This blog is not dead →. Holster review – Tucker Gun Leather Texas Heritage. July 15, 2011. It’s been over a month since I bought my Commander, and in my last post, I asked for suggestions on a good IWB holster. Both commenters suggested the Milt Sparks. VersaMax II. After reading in a bunch of other forums, the VM II seems to be an overwhelming favorite. I’ve placed my order, and should probably get it in January. January. Not going to wait until January to carry my Commander. So, what to do? I couldn&#...

Newer posts →. May 25, 2011. It seems that Westboro Baptist Church is headed to Joplin, Missouri on Sunday. To protest the President’s visit. I never thought I’d see the day when I can’t say who I hate more, Osama Bin Laden, or the Westboro Baptist Church. And while we’re on the topic of the President’s visit. Is it really necessary? I’m sure the folks in Joplin have more important problems to tend to rather than making sure the President’s photo-op goes off without a hitch. May 21, 2011. May 1, 2011.

New Pony in the stable. Testing from phone →. It will be mine….Oh yes, It. Will. Be. Mine. June 6, 2011. Growing up my shooting experience was limited to shotguns, .22 rilfes and pellet guns. Sometime in 2005 my friend Matt. Invited me to the range and stuffed his Colt Commander in my hand and said “Here, shoot this.” I’m guessing this was the gun equivalent of China white, because I was hooked. But I never was completely “wowed” by it. I still wanted a “metal” gun. I put about 150 rounds through it yest...
