Your guide to everywhere far and wide. Monday, July 27, 2009. Cruise of the Mediterranean. The whole cruise is consolidated into this one piece, enjoy. It’s been a great feeling to finally not be in transit. After a 36-hour carousel from Connecticut to Philadelphia Airport to Paris to Milan to Venice, we are all floored from jet lag and exhaustion. But it has been an ambitious two days, to say the least, in Venice. The four of us boarded our Holland America cruise ship, the MS Oosterdam. We were ready to...

Running Down a Dream. Skip to primary content. Welcome to my blog! This project has been in the works for a while now so I’m glad to finally make it official. After watching the remarkable success of the running blog. In November 1998, I qualified for Boston with a PR 3:15 at the Steamtown Marathon. I had run several sub-3:35 marathons prior to that performance, but nothing close to a 3:15. The secret to my success? One thought on “ About the Blog. July 1, 2016 at 8:53 am. Your guide to everywhere far and wide. Sunday, June 26, 2011. Once out of the temple, we traversed the land bridge at a quick clip, only to be whisked into another line upon exiting. The occasion? 8221; note by one of the border guards. Over the course of the ceremony, the guards high-stepped and straight-legged their way to glory to chants of the crowd brought forth by the MC’s shouting, “HINDUSTAN! For the most part, we took it easy before our day-long marathon in the following twenty-four hours.

Your guide to everywhere far and wide. Saturday, January 1, 2011. Day 10 – Travel. After a 20 minute walk, we arrived in the historic district of Paraty, which dates back to the 16th century when the town was used for the neighboring gold trade. Needless to say, the historic center is very nice, closed to traffic, and conveniently accessible by foot. It reminded us of a more rustic and less touristy version of St. Augustine, FL. Day 11 – Paraty. Day 12 – Paraty. Day 13 – Travel. The day finally dawned on...

Your guide to everywhere far and wide. Monday, September 1, 2008. This past August has been a whirlwind of traveling, most of the month being occupied with my trip to Poland. I was there for 9 days visiting relatives in Warsaw. The trip was at the tail-end of my summer vacation and we were just able to squeeze it in. So, the first half of our stay would be spent in my Grandma's apartment and the second half spent in my Aunt's apartment. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Hello and welcome to my blog!

For the whole month of August I have been abroad, first with my cruise to Alaska/Vancouver and the second half spent visiting relatives in Poland with my mom. Your guide to everywhere far and wide. Friday, August 13, 2010. Mom and Tania posing in front of the Blue Mosque. 1 Running in Sultanahmet and on the sea wall. 2 Indulging in Turkish ice cream. How can one stay in Istanbul without trying the taffy-like treat that is Turkish ice cream. Even more, how can one exercise enough judgment not to be enticed by one of these masters of a lost art? 3 Watching a Dervish spin himself into submission. 4 Playing with one of the (sometimes) friendly alley cats. Unlike E...
