O encerramento do ramal ferroviário de Cáceres e a mudança de percurso do comboio Lusitânia Expresso Hotel motivam hoje um protesto, em Beirã (Marvão), com autarcas de Portugal e de Espanha, que discordam destas decisões. O autarca manifestou "esperança" de que o protesto na estação ferroviária de Beirã, pelas 12:30, no dia que antecede o encerramento do ramal de Cáceres, ainda possa produzir efeitos práticos.
