12 Feb. 2011. Here's an interesting little nugget: private schools in NSW are allowed to exclude students on the grounds of their sexuality. An interesting way to turn this around, it occurs to me, might be to establish a gay-only private school, pending what I think is the almost inevitable abolition of this law. Australia Watch: December 2009
http://auswatch.blogspot.com/2009_12_01_archive.html
11 Dec. 2009. The Sydney Morning Herald has launched a campaign to amend the NSW constitution to get rid of fixed terms. A modest, and completely non-specific, reform proposal. The suggestion we would put forward is to abolish the state of NSW, and the states of Australia generally, as the way to deal with the entrenched corruption that can be found in their institutions. They are outdated colonial institutions for which there is simply no longer any need or advantage, only a financial burden to the ...

Psephite: June 2004
http://psephite.blogspot.com/2004_06_01_archive.html
Wednesday, June 30, 2004. I couldn't possibly comment on that. I'd like to make my first post on a topic which may not at first seem election related. However, I consider that the phenomena I plan to write about will occur quite frequently during the election campaign (once it kicks off). I’m sure some would class it as somewhat masochistic, but I’ve signed up to receive the PM’s media releases in my inbox. Here’s an example, from a Parliament House doorstop (26/5/04):. Good morning, John. I’d like t...

Floating in a sea of doubt and uncertainty.Wearing a leaking life jacket. Sunday, November 07, 2004. Sitting in a bunker, here behind my wall. Waiting for the worms,. The worms to come. And the first one is George Pell. A fine move, lets kill the secular state, it really is the cause of all our problems. Worst of all, it's to blame for the rise in intolerant religous movements such as fundamentalist Islam. Does it need an abortion rate in the tens of millions? Does democracy really need these things?
